Hours ago, a bullion van killed a
commercial cyclist (Okada rider) at OPIC Round about, Oke-Ilewo, Ogun state. Following
the incident, Okada riders in the area took to the major roads protesting the
death of their member.
All the attempts of combined team
of soldiers and policemen dispatched to Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, Ogun state to
restore calm have proven futile, as shots have been fired on them by hoodlums.
The police resorted to use of
teargas, which has forced banks and other companies around the area to close.
