On Wednesday June 25, security operatives again intercepted
a Young Shall Grow luxury bus with registration number, AKD816XG conveying over
fifty suspected members of Boko Haram at Obollo Afor area of Enugu state. it
was alleged that the insurgents were heading to different parts of south-east
and south- south parts of Nigeria. They were apprehended in the wee hours of Wednesdy by a team of National Task Force on Small Arms, Ammunitions and Light
Weapons.
It was gathered that the vehicle, belonging to the Young
Shall Grow Transport company, was impounded during a stop and check exercise by
the security operatives.
The state Commissioner of Police Mohammed Adamu Abubakar,
declined comment, saying he was yet to get detail information on the incident. Though,
he hinted that he has ordered the task force team to transfer the suspects to
the police headquarters in Enugu.
Items recovered from
the alleged insurgents, our correspondent learnt includes arms as well as bags
containing Army uniforms, amongst others.
