There is a severe bomb scare in Lagos, as it was alleged
that a car reportedly laden with bomb exploded after running into a parked fuel
tanker at Folawiyo Energy in Apapa, Lagos. It was alleged that the explosion,
which eye witnesses thought was ‘’the handiwork of the dreaded Boko Haram
sect’’, occurred at about 8:00pm.
However, spokesperson of the Lagos state police command,
Ngozi Braide has dismissed the incident saying it was not a bomb explosion. Ngozi,
who confirmed that there was an incident in the area said the command is
waiting on the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Apapa for full details.
The Lagos explosion happened less than 12 hours after 21
people were killed in an attack on a shopping mall in the nation’s capital,
Abuja.
No group has claimed responsibility for neither of the
attacks.
