Sources have disclosed that a major accident occurred in
Yenagoa, Bayelsa state on Saturday August 31, 2013 as the bridge linking
Igbogene and Okoloibiri communities collapsed.
Mr. Vincent Jack, state
Commander of Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), who confirmed the development
said the agency had commenced rescue efforts.
He urged motorists and other road users to use alternative
routes, as FRSC dispatched its personnel to divert traffic from the affected
area to ensure smooth flow of traffic
