In line with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, on sustained intelligence-led policing and round the clock visibility patrol, following a tip-off, the Command's Special Intervention Squad (SIS) under the direction of the State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, masis, arrested three suspects, Ibrahim Tijjani, Jamilu Auwal, and Mohammed Nura Dauda, for allegedly buying a Mercedes Benz GLE motor vehicle, white in colour with a fake alert. They were arrested on January 28, 2026, at Kabuga Quarters, Kano.
The suspects allegedly bought the vehicle from Gwarinpa, Abuja, for seventy-five million naira (₦75,000,000) using a fake alert sent by Ibrahim Yahaya, who's at large. The vehicle was recovered and handed over to FCT Police Command for further investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, commended the Police team for their dedication and professionalism.
