The Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency(KOTRA Lagos) recently hosted its annual trade exhibition in Lagos at Movenpick Hotel, formerly Southern Sun Hotel, Ikoyi.

The event afforded business men and women from Nigeria to relate with their counterpart from the Republic of South Korea who were in the country to explore the vast opportunities inherent in the Nigerian commerce market.

This year edition saw the City of Hwaseong,Korea coming to expand the base of the Korean manufacturing companies into the country, seeking inroads for investments in areas like  Automobile, Fashion care, Civil Engineering to mention a few.

The event which was powered by the office of the commercial attachee of the Embassy of South Korea, had robust interactive  sessions with Nigerian businessmen looking for new markets to buy goods and services and the Hwaseong City Trade businessmen from Korea provided a fertile ground for healthy business discussions to be explored upon.

The Marketing Manager commercial section of the South Korean Embassy KOTRA, LAGOS Akpan Inametti disclosed that creating a working business synergy between Korean manufacturers and Nigerians within the commerce sector of the country's economy is the reason why the business exhibition was organized.

Speaking further Mr Akpan said the world has become a global village and the need for businessmen across the world to interact and do business has become imperative, hence the Korean business delegation being in Nigeria.

He also said the Hwaseong business delegation's interests spans diverse areas like Fashion,Automobile, Electronics ,Heavy Industry.

In all nine Korean companies came for this year trade exhibition in Lagos Akpan disclosed. 

The office of the commercial attachee South Korean Embassy Choi Hyung Kwon opined that driving and creating a harmonious business environmnent that will foster synergy between bussinessmen and women from Nigeria and South Korea are the key areas of interest for him and he hopes to continue working in that direction.
