Nollywood actor, Francis Duru has announced the demise of his father, Theophilus Ogide Duru.

Pa Duru died at 89 and is scheduled for a three-day long burial from April 28, 2022 to May 1, 2022.

In his tribute to his late father, Duru wrote: “Onyenna! Upayo! My dear father…

“Strong as steel yet a heart so feeble…and humane…bullets you took for the products of your loin…a shield you were…a well spring of knowledge ..as virtues of knowledge oozed from you to us as you transmitted them tonis as our first teacher…principled and disciplined…with integrity protected within you as your bill board of reference..clear cut accountability and respect for uprightness..these and many more emptied into us…..a void you have created..no one can fill it was just for you…thank you..the time has come..the time to bow out officially..good man..great father..teacher..the time to say GOODBYE Is here as we count down…I will miss you and already missing you…”

The actor further announced that wake-keep, interment, and thanksgiving service will hold at the Ogide’s compound situated on Okai Eziama Isiala Mbano, Imo State.
