The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has said he has taken down the tweet, where he showed his stand against Twitter ban in Nigeria.

While saying this on the micro-mini blog website, Makinde reminded Nigerians that their choices have consequences, and urged them to prepare to make the right electoral choices during 2023 general elections.

The Federal Government of Nigeria banned Twitter on 5th of June 2021, and lifted the ban on 12th of January 2022.

"As I take down my pinned tweet which showed my unequivocal stand against the #TwitterBan which lasted 222 days, I'd like to remind us all that our choices have consequences. With the 2023 elections around the corner, I hope we are prepared to make the right electoral choices," he tweeted.
