The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Samson Ayokunle, has called for three days of national prayers for the nation in view of the continuous killings, banditry, and host of other problems facing the country. 

The CAN President said that the country needs prayers for God's mercy and intervention over insecurity in the land.

In a statement signed by the CAN General  Secretary, Joseph Daramola, Revd Ayokunle declared Friday 28th to  Sunday 30th of May 2021 as national days of prayers and that all churches are to gather in the evening of each day, to pray to God in the attitude of mourning and soberness to end the bloodshed in Nigeria.

Ayokunmi also asked Christians to pray for our leaders to ensure justice and fairness to all Nigerians and douse ethnic and religious tensions across the land.

The CAN leader also called on the law enforcement agents to rise and provide the necessary security for the peace of the nation.

Ayokunle assured that prayers, righteousness, godliness, and peace will return to Nigeria.
