…Exhorts Nigerians to speak up against the current situation in the country

The National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Francis Wale Oke, has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari has failed woefully and also said he has started praying that God should remove him for Nigeria to experience peace.

He said that even during the civil war, things didn’t seem this bleak and that Nigeria did not witness as much violence and that then, only the East was boiling unlike now, when the whole country is reeling under the unceasing violence.

Bishop Wale Oke, who is also the presiding Bishop of The Sword of the Spirit Ministries, Ibadan, called for the removal of the President if that would bring peace to Nigeria.

He also said that the country is bleeding and under siege and laid the blame for Nigeria’s current situation squarely at the foot of the current administration.

The cleric was present at a vigil held in Precious Cornerstone University’s Garden of Victory auditorium in Ibadan and from the pulpit, lamented the daily killings and insecurity in the country caused by the failure of the Buhari-led administration.

He said: “Sadly today, everywhere in Nigeria is a theatre of war with many killings and bloodshed going on in the country every day, The President should be removed if that would pave the way for the desired peace in the country. In the 1960s when Nigeria fought a civil war, the eastern part of the nation was the theatre of war.”

“Some wicked people kidnapped some students and demanded N800m for their release; they killed them. The government did not lift a finger and you are telling me that the President has not failed. Buhari has failed. For the first time, I have found myself praying that God should remove Buhari.”

“They kidnapped students without the government doing anything and you are telling me that the government has not failed. Are you saying we cannot move against an incompetent government whose security apparatus has collapsed?”

The cleric further said that he’s not afraid to air his views as now is the time for Nigerians to uniformly speak up and express concern for what is happening in Nigeria. He also condemned the Federal Government for how gently they have handled killer herdsmen and instead directed their venom at Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State when he criticized the president for not doing enough to protect Nigerians.

“It is a shame that government could not protect those in Internally Displaced Person camps which led to the massacre of a number of them in Benue State. The Presidency is now attacking Governor Ortom who was weeping over his people that were slaughtered, Now is the time for all Nigerians to show concern. We invoke the judgment of God on these people. Oh arrow of the Lord, we release against them. The sword of the Lord cut them off.” He said.

“Give us peace by all means even if it means removing an incompetent and a failed President. Oh God, do it quickly and give us peace by all means. Give us a quick change at the top level of government of Nigeria.”
