Nigerian police has dragged a 43 year old widow, Stella Ndidiamaka
Ekwerekwu, before a High court in Abuja, over allegations of trafficking and abduction
of an 8 month old baby.
She is accused of falsely presenting the baby to her late husband as
theirs, thereby committing an offence that is contrary to section27(1)
of Child’s Right Act(2003) &punishable under section27(2)(b) of the same
act.
Charged alongside her is one Nkechi Ogbonankwo, said to have helped her
to get the baby, but now at large.
Both suspects, are of F16 court road Onitsha, Anambra State.
