COVID-19 deaths surpasses 500,000 in U.S

COVID-19 has on Sunday surpassed half a million Sunday in United States of America.

The number is said to be more than what the country lost on the battlefield in three combined wars.

According to TMZ,  there were 291,000 American deaths in WWII, 47,434 American died in battle during the Vietnam War, there were 33,739 American battle deaths in the Korean War, while COVID has killed 502,000 Americans.

Despite the vaccines, some doctors and scientists believe there could still be a new, devastating wave of deaths because of highly-transmissible variants.

However, the vaccines are being given rapid pace, around 1.5 million per day, yet the country is to be nowhere close to vaccinating enough people to achieve herd immunity.
