Abia Warriors’ hard tackling defender, Jean Parfait has revealed how he has been coping amidst the coronavirus enforced break, and how he has been able to maintain maximum fitness level in view of  the NPFL resumption.

The former Delta force strong man while speaking from his base in Cameroon explained how he has managed to be involved in intense training sessions as he sticks to the Head coach weekly training schedules.

"Sincerely speaking, you know is not always easy taking an impromptu break away from your passion not to talk of when you never expected it to last upto months."

"I follow all the personal training sessions judiciously and I can confidently say that I can stand an intensed 90mins league match, that is to show you my high fitness level".

"The lockdown positivity to me is that it has availed me the opportunity to spend quality time with my family here in Cameroon. I normally get to spend less time everytime I visit after a season but this one as been exceptional and am not regretting the whole scenario."

"My daily routines ranges from helping my wife to cook, engage in some house chores, help my daughter do her loads of school assignments. They equally come along with me every morning and evening for my routine training sessions,  it has really been a good one".

"Abia warriors is actually my second club in the Nigeria Professional Football League and from the experiences of my fellow compatriots in other clubs, I think Abia Warriors is the best club in the Nigeria Professional Football league. Never have we had issues of being owed salaries nor have issues with our travelling allowances against what other players suffer in their clubs."

"The Nigeria Professional Football League is gradually improving and in no distant time, the league will be reckoned as one of the best leagues in Africa."

"Kudos to the organisers of the Nigeria Professional Football league for all their effort in ensuring that the league standard keep elevating."

"The part which I feel they should improve more is getting a means of curtail the long distant journeys which ideally should be executed with flights, the fatigue associated with long distance journeys is one of  reasons why clubs finds it difficult to pick points at away."

"I believe that the Nigeria Professional Football League will one day claim its number one spot in African football as a whole".

Jean since joining Abia Warriors from defunct Delta force has established himself in the heart of Abia Warriors defence line as he has gone ahead in acheiving the feat of being the first foreigner to be involved in all the club Matches in the current league campaign in the first stanza.

The Cameroonian international style of play hardly go unnoticed in league matches, little wonder he has been singled out by NPFL enthusiasts, analysts and pundits as one of the league best outstanding defenders so far.
