Nigeria's Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi has said on Twitter that his ministry has sent over 150 Nigerians to two Universities in China to study Railway Engineering.

In a series of tweets Amaechi said after graduation, those who will do a Masters and PhD will continue, afterwards they will return and teach in Transportation University.


"Do you know we have sent over 150 persons to two universities in China, funded by the Chinese government to study Railway Engineering? In four years they will graduate and those who will do Masters and PhD will do that, come back and teach in the Transportation University.

We also have a resident understudy programme for Engineers and Technicians from Ministry of Transport and the Nigeria Railway Corporation to acquire practical skills for maintenance of Railway rolling stocks. The programme is for 3 months at various production facilities in China," he wrote on Twitter.
