It is on the basis of the above that the Okpaleke family of Amesi in Aguata local government area of Anambra state announces the passing unto glory of their matriarch, Monica Nwadima Okpaleke (Dibundo) at the ripe age of 83.


At 83, the Okpalekes say they thank God for the salutary live their mother lived, having exceeded the Biblical age.

According to the family, the transition from immortality to mortality of their matriarch is an inevitable end that awaits every being, thus giving Filip to John Dryden's famous lines: "All human things are subject to decay and when death summons, monarchs must obey".

During her life time, the late Monica was a devout Christian who dedicated her time championing the cause of women, children and the downtrodden in Amesi.

A progrmme of events for her funeral as released by the family shows that the late Mrs  Okpaleke's rite of passage begins with a wake keep on Wednesday 21st 2019 at her late husband, Festus Onuwurah Okpaleke's compound at Amesi.

On Thursday, August 22, at 10am, Requiem mass holds in her honour at St.Joseph Catholic Church, Amesi.Interment at her compound follows immediately.

Thanksgiving mass comes up on Sunday, August 24 at St.Joseph's Catholic, Amesi.

The late Mrs Okpaleke is survived by children, grand children and great grand children including Mr Gabriel and Mr Oguchi Okpaleke, Chairman/CEO, Oguchi International ltd .
