Top comedian Alibaba has lamented over the tweet he posted
on Tuesday morning, saying that it has
been misquoted by bloggers.
Alibaba earlier called out a comic video posted on social media,
saying someone made the video from his old joke, which he created in a boat
heading to NLNG Bonny in 1996. The ace comedian mentioned Edem Duke, who was GM
of NLNG then as one of the people in the boat, when he created the joke.
However, Alibaba has cried out that a blogger said he called
High Chief Edem Duke a Creative thief. He concluded by saying that those who
read half comments and sensationlise them, to drive traffic
are worse than scam
artistes.
"After posting th tweet, I was contacted by well meaning
Nigerians. That, I called the High Chief Edem Duke a creativity thief. That's
not correct Comprehension is a problem. But then again, maybe the tweet was
ambiguous. The tweet was about how people make videos from old jokes.
How anyone would have read that tweet, to mean I called the
High Chief Edem Duke a Creative thief still beats me. And as for those who read
half comments and sensationlise them, just to drive traffic, you are worse than
scam artistes. The tweet is there for all to read." He lamented.
