Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Forte Oil, Femi Otedola and many others on Tuesday welcomed the President of Republic of Togo, Faure Gnassingbe to Lagos State as he visited the ongoing construction site of Dangote Refinery in Lekki area of the state.

While receiving the President, Ambode said that Lagos is home to sizable number of Togolese whom the government is providing with opportunities to get ahead in their endeavours.

Lagos is open to businesses. Dangote Refinery is one of the biggest investments in Africa today. This project will have a huge impact on the economy of Nigeria and the entire West African region. When completed, Dangote Refinery will be the largest single-line refinery anywhere in the world, refining 6,500 barrels of crude oil daily. The refinery will create jobs and contribute immensely to solving the fuel supply challenge in the West African region.

We commend the Dangote Group for their vision and unwavering desire to grow Nigeria’s economy. This refinery is a confirmation that Lagos State is a prime investment destination in Africa. With a population of over 20 million & our strategic location on the West African coast, Lagos presents a unique investment proposition for all businesses.
