Actress, Juliet Ibrahim has in series of tweets said her opinions about the recently concluded #AiteoCAFawards2017 held in Ghana. she outlined everything that went wrong at the event.

"First of all, CAF awards is an all round African awards. Hence, there should have been selected musicians from almost every African country to represent their country on the music scene as the event is televised LIVE and really not about/for the audience in attendance.

At least GloCafAwards has earned it's credit on past editions by making sure there's at least one musician from each country combined with several Nigerian artistes on its stage annually. But note that, all of these musicians 90% would have been Globacom ambassadors.

This year,a new company takes over the awards and it happens to be a Nigerian/Foreign company. They take over and decided to host the wonderful guests and the world in our beautiful country. However, during this planning process a lot went wrong. What went wrong?Read my next tweet.

Now looking back at GloCafAwards that was held in Accra in 2007, there was one Ghanaian musician on the bill and he performed and made Ghana proud. CafAwards2015, I recall as I hosted this prestigious event in Abuja, another Ghanaian musician represented us proudly on the stage.

This year we had 2 Ghanaian acts on the bill to perform, which means that Kidi should have been placed to perform at an earlier time during the show rather than at the end of the event because this event was being held in Ghana.

But as an event organiser myself, I could give the possibility of thought that probably the organisers thought it will be sweeter to have a Ghanaian artist start and end the show because it's the host country.

Secondly, there was a huge mistake made by the Mc/Organizers when she announced that Tiwa and Wizkid were the last acts for the night knowing Kidi was still meant to come up on stage. This was very wrong by the organisers! How can U allow guests to leave before U bring out an act?!

Now from my research, the organisers, event planners, technical crew, etc were all from different countries. Meaning these organisers had very little input or help from Ghanaians on ground. Because as it's always done with such grand events;they hire foreign crew to handle events.

We as a people need to stop the comparison and attacks on other countries or people because it's not about them but about us as a people! We are our own problem. If you don't support nor value your own how can the world place value on yours?

There were one or two prominent Ghanaians on the planning committee or organising committee. These few people didn't think it necessary to argue or insist that at least 4 Ghanaian acts perform that day. They accepted whatever reasons that was tabled at a panel of discussion.

I'll speak from a personal experience; apparently, the organisers came down to Accra and asked a few of the Ghanaians they know for my contact because they wanted me to host alongside Didier Drogba. But, when they were asked, they replied with "oh we don't know her number".

This response allowed the organisers to fly in a South African host to co-host with Didier. Only for me to bump into one of the organisers on 3rd January and he narrated all that went down to me. It was now too late to put me on the bill to co-host. Life goes on...

Now,how are we sure this exact same thing didn't happen to other Ghanaian artistes that they wanted to contact to be a part of this event? It was so easy to find contacts and reach the media in Ghana to cover the event as well as the legends in Ghanaian Football but not artistes.

Ghanaians until you start valuing your own Artistes and Entertainers the world will continuously place a blind eye to us all. If our Ghanaian reps involved in planning CAF had wanted us to be a part of the event we would hv been because they would hv suggested that.

You don't need a law to enforce foreigners to come to your country and insist they use Gh artistes on their platforms as it is no good tool for tourism! What U need is to have Ghanaians proud of their own to market you worthy to these platforms! Believe in Ur own! Stop Negativity.

I was at this prestigious event as a guest, I sat and watched the entire show. I looked around me and couldn't find a single entertainer/colleague there as a special guest! Why is this so? Do we have proper channels in our various entertainment organisations? The guilds??!!!

Why is it so easy for Aiteo CAF organisers to get hold of foreign artistes while our Ghanaian reps would tell them it's hard to get their own Acts???? Don't blame anyone but your very own people Ghanaians. We don't support ourselves!

In response to @samini_dagaati We can't enforce a 50/50 participation at every foreign event that comes to Ghana because that will be extremely bad for the entertainment industry and tourism to our country. I'll let you in on a secret." She noted.
