President Donald Trump said Tuesday that there's nothing to
the accusations that he sexually harassed and abused women as calls for a
congressional probe of his alleged conduct piled up.
Trump said in a tweet that the women accusing him of assault
were peddling 'fabricated stories' and 'false accusations' and he did not know
or had not met them.
The White House also denied that the president had ever
inappropriately touched the women who came forward during the election but
reemerged on Monday to demand action. Trump's spokeswoman said from the White
House podium that the 'allegations are false.'
Democratic lawmakers such as Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand have
demanded that Trump resign and joined the women in pushing for a Capitol Hill
investigation. He got a severe trash from Trump, who called him a ‘lightweight
senator’ on Twitter.
"Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for
Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office “begging” for campaign
contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the
ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!" He tweeted.
Four women came back into the national spotlight on Monday to reshare their
claims that Trump assaulted them before he ran for president. They demanded a
Capitol Hill investigation of their charges.
