The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s government is not being taking over by cabal, but the President himself is a cabal. He said this after narrating some of recent developments in the country.

"Like I have maintained, Buhari is not fighting any corruption. He is indeed the Life Patron of Corruption in Nigeria. Buhari is hiding under anti-corruption fight to harass his perceived political foes.

"The claimed recovery of $85m from the Malabu oil deal is to shift attention of Nigerians from the corruption scandals confronting the govt. They claimed to have concluded negotiation with Switzerland to return $321m Abacha loot, forgetting that Buhari said Abacha never stole.

"The next script will be the "release" of another set of "Chibok Girls" as another means of shifting the attention of Nigerians. Even though the police has said the SUVs Sen Misau claimed the IGP gave Buhari's Wife, Aisha were meant for her police personnel, Nigerians will like to see records of such vehicles provided by the IGP for the security personnel of previous First Ladies. Most importantly, what happened to the promise made by the President not to operate the Office of the First Lady?

"Today, the President’s claim to integrity is under serious question, with his men dancing naked in the market square and there is no hope that their nakedness can be covered any longer.

"While I await yet another scandal in what has become a govt of one week, one scandal, I ask our President, what has happened to the report on the $43m discovered in an apartment at Osbourne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos? What has happened to the allegation of award of $25bn contracts without following due process made against Dr. Baru by Dr Ibe Kachikwu? What happened to the DSS indictment for corruption of Magu and the AGF Investigative Panel set up by the President? Who is the owner of LEGICO Shopping Plaza, Ahmadu Bello Way, VI, Lagos inside which the EFCC claimed that it found N448.8 million cash?

"Who brought the five sacks in which the EFCC claimed that it found N49 million cash to the Kaduna Airport? What happened to the probe panel on the alleged N500m bribery said to have been paid to the Chief of Staff (COS), Abba Kyari by MTN?

Most importantly,, today is Saturday, what has happened to the report submitted on Tuesday on the fraudulent reinstatement of Maina? Is the President going to use APC broom to sweep the report on Maina under the carpet just as he did to others before it?

"One can go on and on, but the painful reality is that Buhari’s government is not only corrupt, the government itself is corruption! Under Buhari, perfume is being sprayed on corruption when it affects his men, while insecticide is sprayed on corruption when it involves perceived political opponents of the President.

"Like every affliction of Israelites, all these shall pass & Nigeria shall be free from this Buhari’s govt & its odour of corruption in 2019.

"I no longer subscribe to this idea of cabal taking over Buhari's govt, I think President Buhari himself is a cabal, the controversial governor wrote on his Twitter page.
