The Women's Film Club proudly presents the September screening featuring an independent contemporary Nigerian film; Las Gidi Vice. The film directed by Udoka Oyeka follows a playboy's fun night out as it turns adventurous when he meets a girl he'll never forget. It stars Theresa Edem, Hauwa Allahbura, Bucci Franklin and Tunji Ogunkeye. The screening will be held at the Ford Foundation, #10, 105 Close Banana Island, Ikoyi on  Friday, September 29th, 2017 at 3 pm prompt. Following the film screening will be a director Q&A and discussion session that will aim to promote culture, spread knowledge through insight and bring new topics to the forefront of the dialogue of pressing social issues relating to women. 

An encore screening will hold afterwards at 4 pm and 5 pm.

About Udoka Oyeka:

After graduating with an accounting degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, Udoka immediately went to drama school to chase his passion performing for the screen. While producing and performing in films with friends in Canada, writing and directing followed naturally. He released his first feature “ZR 7 (The Red House Seven)” in cinemas nationwide (Nigeria) in 2011 and has followed with short films titled “Down and Out”, “Living Funeral” and “No Good Turn”. These have all gathered nominations in numerous award platforms and have screened both internationally and at local film festivals. Udoka is advent on creating African films of international standards and is steadily striving to push the industry to the global stage.
