All is now set for the hosting of the African Children Talent Discovery Foundation (ACTDF) "Unleash Your Talent 2017” in Port Harcourt, Rivers State next Friday, September 8, 2017.


The event holds at the Hub Event Centre, Odili Road, Port Harcourt by 7:00 PM.

The already star-studded event will see a couple of governors attending with Nollywood celebrities and music artists including Pete Edochie, Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Patience Ozokwor (Mama G.), Ramsey Nouah, Segun Arinze and a host of other Nigerian celebrities already confirmed to attend the event.

Speaking on preparations being put in place for the epoch event, President of ACTDF, Engr. Noah Dallaji said that following the conclusion of the zonal auditions in Ibadan, Lagos, Nasarawa, Bauchi, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Enugu, Ekiti and Kaduna, ACTDF is for the grand finale of the biggest talent hunt in Nigeria.

Dallaji said the foundation was initially ready to hold the grand finales for the event on first September but it became necessary to shift it by one week due the Sallah holiday this weekend.

"We are very much set to have the grand finale in Port Harcourt which would have been this Friday but because of the Sallah holiday, we decided to move it by one week. So everything is set for the 8th of September where we would have three (3) winners from the three different categories: music, dancing and acting," he said.

According to him, the programme is aimed at developing and discovering talents while integrating the participants into the mainstream of society for nation building.

He said, "our primary objective is to showcase the talents of young people who are full of sadness because of losing hope and here is hope coming their way."

The talent hunt designed into three categories will see winners go home with one million Naira worth of performing contracts as well as cash prizes to advance their career in these areas of creativity.

"We have a winner from each of the categories and we are talking of three winners from music, dance and acting categories. Each of these winners will follow us to the United States for exposure. Each of them will have a contract with regard to their field and they will have someone who will be there to sign them up," he added.

Dallaji said that  ACTDF as an NGO has being doing a lot of humanitarian activity that has seen the less privileged being incorporated into schools, taken care of through scholarship and other forms development of projects in communities where they need help.
