The leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has reportedly joined Nigerian politics, in an attempt to renegotiate the existence of Igbos2in the county's political sphere. The statement which was credited to Kanu at the South East leaders meeting reads...

"I have been advised by highly-placed Igbo political leaders and traditional heads to get involved in the Nigerian politics, so as to properly renegotiate the Igbo existence within the Nigerian political space. And that makes a lot of sense and sounds like a reasonable alternative."

"IPOB, as you are aware, is non violent organization and we are open to suggestions, for us the destiny of the Igbo Nation is sacrosanct, if by joining politics will make the realization possible, it’s an option I will gladly sell to my followers across the region," Kanu said.

However, Kanu supporters has taken to social media to defend him, that he has no political intention other than to lead them to the actualization of Biafra Nation.
