Super Eagles' goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme has thanked Nigerians for their encouragement and supporting messages during his trying moment. He posted the message on his Twitter page with a picture of himself on hospital bed.


"Thank you all for your kindness and Love The start of a new chapter and ready to give it my all! Thank you," he wrote.

Carl Ikeme, who is a goalkeeper for the Wolves FC was diagnosed with acute Leukemia on Thursday. Ikeme has always shown ability, agility and high level of confidence between the sticks for Nigeria, since taking up the number one goalie’s responsibilities following the sudden retirement of three –time World Cup star Vincent Enyeama from international football in October 2015.
