Legendary Hollywood stuntman Loren Janes died on Saturday, June 24, at the age of 85, according to his family.


Janes died at his home in Los Angeles, where he lived for the majority of his life, after a long battle with Alzheimer's, reported the LA Times.

During his long career, Janes doubled for Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, Jack Nicholson and even Debbie Reynolds.

He made his movie debut in 1954 with an 80ft cliff dive.

He went on to perform stunt work in classics such as 'The Ten Commandments,' 'Spartacus,' 'Planet of the Apes,' and 'The Magnificent Seven.'
