Police arrests 5 College Students for raping Colleague

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested five students of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo State, for allegedly raping a female student of the school.

The suspects are, Timilehin Akinola, Tobi Olagbaju, Olakunle Adetuyi, Adeyemi Adebisi and Eric Nwage.

The police said they allegedly committed the crime on Funbi-Fagun Housing Estate, Ondo town, last week Monday.

 The police, who did not give details of the incident, said the victim was a student in the Department of History/English.

The suspects were alleged to have recorded the rape on video and threatened the victim that they would post the clip online if she reported the matter to anybody.

The suspects were paraded on Wednesday at the headquarters of the command in Alagbaka, Akure.

The Ondo State Police Commissioner, Mrs. Hilda Harrison, said the victim had been taken to a hospital for treatment, adding that the suspects would be charged to court.
