Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has on Thursday opened a huge fertiliser plant at Eleme, Rivers state as part of ongoing efforts to boost the agricultural sector.


The plant has cost $1.5bn (£1.1bn) and should produce 1.5 million tonnes of fertiliser.

"AgP Osinbajo arrives Portharcourt on his way to Eleme to inaugurate the $1.5B Indorama Fertilizer plant," Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant-Media and Publicity to Acting President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo tweeted.
