Manchester United forward, ​Zlatan Ibrahimovic's cousin has claimed that Atletico Madrid have entered discussions with the player's agent, Mino Raiola, over a potential contract offer.


The Swedish forward is a free agent, with his contract at Manchester United set to expire next month.

And despite his ongoing recovery from a serious knee injury, Ibrahimovic is attracting interest from a number of clubs looking to strengthen in attack.

Atletico have denied speculation linking them with a move for the 35-year-old, but Ibrahimovic's cousin, Selman Yalcin, has revealed that the Spanish side have entered talks with Raiola.

"Atlético are talking to his agent, Mino Raiola," Yalcin said - via ​AS. "His contract with Manchester United will finish on 15 July. At the moment he's training on his own at United, but he has options."

If a deal is agreed, Ibrahimovic could be set to complete his rehabilitation at Atletico before becoming eligible to play in January when the club's FIFA imposed transfer ban is lifted.

Yalcin also confirmed that Ibrahimovic has received an offer from David Beckham's MLS side, Miami United FC.

"Zlatan has a very good relationship with Beckham and has received an offer from Beckham's team in the United States," he added. "Miami United FC offered 100m euros for four seasons, but he and his family want to stay in Europe."

According to Yelcin, Ibrahimovic's partner, Helena Seger, is keen to return to Italy, after the player's previous spells with Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan.
