Pupils of Kirimon Primary School in central Kenya have attacked the teachers, forcing the management of the school to close down.

The Daily Nation adds that pupils were seen with clubs and sticks ready to attack the female staff and three teachers were "seriously injured".

The students were reportedly cross about the punishments that they had received.

After planning to close the school for one week, the school has however tweeted that the teachers don't want to work there anymore:

“5 FEMALE teachers who were beaten by their pupils at Kirimoni Primary School in Samburu vow not to go back to the school; demand transfer.
