A Junior Secondary School student of Narai, Karu, Shamsudeen Abdullahi was on Monday murdered by suspected cultists at Angwan Hausawa Karu.

A witness, Abdussalam Abubakar, said he was with the deceased when the three suspected cultists attacked them.


He said the suspects,  Muhammed  Shehu, Nuhu Tanko and one Abubakar,  engaged them in a fight on Angwan Hausawa road that fateful night.

He said, "They were three while we were two and in the course of the fight, Shehu removed a knife and tried to stab me with it but I dogged.  I was their target but since they couldn’t get me, they stabbed my friend.  He was rushed to Customs Hospital in Karu, where he was pronounced dead."

City News gathered that the suspect , Shehu was arrested on Tuesday .
