Corps members have been warned against engagement in cyber crimes and dealings in illicit drugs. Director-General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, gave the warning while addressing the 2017 Batch 'A' (Stream One) Corps members at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Taraba State.

He said the Corps members should safeguard the image of their families and the NYSC by engaging in lawful ventures.

"You are our future leaders and we have hope in you. With you, I am sure we will have the Nigeria of our dream, " Kazaure said.

The Director-General also urged them to join in the fight against corruption, which he described as the major obstacle against the progress and development of the country.

Earlier in her welcome address, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Akyam Altine, said that the 2,307 Corps members had exhibited discipline and participated actively in camp programmes.

Altine also said the hard work and team spirit among camp officials accounted for the major successes recorded in the camp.

A highlight of the occasion was a brief celebration of ten Corps members whose birthday coincides with the Director-General's visit.

Kazaure rejoiced with them, and joined them in cutting their cake.
