... Promises Three More

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on Tuesday, commissioned an ultra-modern automobile workshop named, Mitros Digital Workshop, at the Obada-Oko mechanic village for easy diagnosis and repair of vehicles.

While commissioning the workshop, Governor Amosun said the project was in fulfillment of his campaign promises to ensure that all professionals in the state are able to compete favourably with their counterparts in any part of the world.

The Governor also charged the artisans to take the workshop as their own, while assuring that before the year runs out, no less than three of such workshops would have been opened in different locations in the state.

According to the Governor, the digital workshop will ensure efficient maintenance of vehicles and early detection of faults, which will help to prolong the life span of vehicles on Ogun State roads.

Governor Amosun added that the workshop was designed to be a training ground for young professionals urging the people to ensure adequate maintenance of the facilities.

Governor Amosun also directed that henceforth all official vehicles of members of the state executive council, including the ones in the governors' convoy, are to be serviced at the newly commissioned Modern Automobile Diagnostic Workshop.

Speaking on behalf of the artisans, the Chairman of the Nigerian Automobile and Technicians Association, Ogun State chapter, Mr. Olawale Obadeyi, affirmed the standard of the workshop adding that none of the artisans have ever seen or worked with such equipment before.

The Chairman, while thanking the Governor for the project, said prior to the commissioning, the Governor had arranged for world class specialists to train them appropriately on the usage of the modern equipment.
