A Croatian woman trying to enter United States of America
with tourist visa was reportedly detained at Los Angeles International Airport,
despite that her country is not among the seven listed in President Donald
Trump's executive order.
The woman flew from Paris, France, to Los Angeles,
California, but was blocked from entering the country and coerced into
surrendering her tourist visa, according to sources cited by TMZ.
She will be flown back to France as it remains unclear why
she was targeted by the policy, which restricts travel from seven predominantly
Muslim countries.
It remains unclear why the executive ban had any bearing on
the woman's ability to enter the country on a tourist visa, given that she is a
Croatian citizen.
But she was forced to sign documents surrendering her
tourist visa and will now be flown back to Paris, TMZ reported.
Trump signed an executive order on Friday barring any non-US
citizen traveling from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia or Yemen from
entering the United States for 90 days.
