All the wives Muhammadu Bello Masaba were around him when he died on Saturday at the age of 93. He reportedly had over 90 wives before his death.


Salahu Bello said Mr Masaba, affectionately known as Baba or father, had left "a legacy of trust, compassion and submission to the will of Allah". 

 He added: "He died at the age of 93 and anyone who lives to that age should be expected to have health challenges. Baba wouldn't take medicine and wouldn't advise people to take medicine. That is how he lived. His family is intact. All his 86 wives were around him when he died."

Late Masaba also surivived by 170 children.
