Few hours after President Muhammadu Buhari left the country
for Morocco, Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo entered into a meeting with Senate
President, Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu
Dogara, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting is believed to be one of the efforts aimed at
resolving the issues arising from the Senate’s recent rejection of President
Muhammadu Buhari’s $30bn foreign loan request and the 2016-2018 Medium Term
Expenditure Framework.
Osinbajo heads the present administration’s Economic
Management Team.
The meeting started at about 2pm with the arrival of the
heads of the two chambers of the National Assembly in the Vice-President’s
office.
