Oscar Pistorius moved to better prison with facilities for disabled prisoners

Jailed South African former paralympian, Oscar Pistorius has been moved to a new prison with better facilities fitting for disabled people.

The gold medalist, who is serving a six-year prison sentence in Kgosi Mampuru II prison, for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp in 2013, has been transferred to the Atteridgeville Correctional Centre.

The Department of Correctional Services said the Atteridgeville prison houses offenders serving up to six years and has rehabilitation and development programmes for inmates.
