Movie theaters in US will show the presidential election on the big screen November 8.  AMC Theaters has announced it will show CNN's election night coverage at 50 of its locations in 25 cities.

The company will even designate a 'red' and 'blue' room to keep like-minded voters together.  Chief content and programming officer for AMC Theaters, Elizabeth Frank, told the New York Times the idea has been in the works for about a year.

The move is similar to AMC's rivals, Regal Cinemas, which screened the final two presidential debates live in more than 200 theaters across the nation, according to the New York Times.
