Rapper, Kanye West on Friday called ‘multiracial’ models for casting ahead of auditions on West 26th Street in New York City on Sunday, in preparation for the release of his latest fashion line, and since then, he has received hard words from different angles.

The call-out led some people to say Kanye was trying to stop black women from being part of his show, while others said the 808s and Hearbreak star's request excluded white models.

'Imagine if a white singer said "WHITE WOMEN ONLY"?' one person furiously tweeted.

'No white people,' another added.

'Hmm @ multiracial women only. Does that include the dark skinned multiracial women or just the light skinned ones?' another wrote.

'This is a major issue. In an industry that consistently cuts Black models out, you do this?! You are the absolute worst. Truly,' a furious tweeter unleashed on Kanye.

The tweet also asked for those trying out for a coveted spot as a model for his Yeezy Season 4 line to not wear makeup,  and 'come as (they) are'.

The line is set to debut on September 7 - the opening day of New York Fashion Week.
