Wanted Journalist, Ahmad Salkida agrees to surrender if Army meets his conditions

The journalist declared wanted by Nigerian Army on Sunday,  Ahmad Salkida, who is presently on self exile in Dubai, UAE says he will surrender himself to the Nigerian Army if certain conditions are met.

In a press statement issued today, Salkida disclosed his intention to travel to Nigeria and clear his name on allegations leveled against him by the Nigerian Army which he said are baseless and unjustifiable.

Salkida said he would surrender to the authorities as soon as he can purchase a flight ticket, he asked the Nigerian Army to send him an official invitation and also flight tickets to and from Dubai where he is presently residing with his family, in order to make his surrender faster .

The Nigerian Army in an unprecedented move widely condemned by several commentators on social media yesterday declared Salkida wanted over claims that he is in touch with Boko Haram militants because of a recent video he obtained from the sect showing some Chibok girls.
