Son punches Father to death after 4 years of strife

A 25-year-old man, Morgan Isles-English has been arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm after punching dead his father. The father, Mark English was rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead after being allegedly punched in the street by his son, Morgan.


Mark English was put in a coma after being hit on Monday afternoon. Police alleged the pair had a 'brief verbal exchange' before the younger English allegedly attacked his father. 

The 53-year-old died on Tuesday in hospital. Police have upgraded the charge to unlawful striking causing death.

According to The Brisbane Times, he had not spoken to his son for four years before the incident. 

Mr English was knocked out and lay on the street face down as his female partner, Varri Telfer, performed first aid and waited for an ambulance.
