The Senate has on Wednesday passed the 3rd and Final Reading of the "Discrimination Against Persons With Disabilities (Prohibition) Bill (2016) (SB 22)."

The bill seeks to curb the abuse in all forms of Nigerians with disabilities. Most importantly, this bill seeks to promote the respect of the rights of all Nigerians with disabilities.

In the 6th and 7th Assembly, this bill was also passed, however, for one reason or the other, it was not signed into law.
