Global
leading media buying agency, OMD, has once again proved to be an indomitable
force as the company garnered more awards than any other agency network in its
category at the recent 2016 Young Lions Media global competition held in
Cannes, France. The agency clinched a total of 63 medals across many different
categories in the competition.
Mainardo de
Nardis OMD CEO Worldwide, said the agency won 3 grand prix, 9 gold, 16 silver
and a staggering 35 bronze. The CEO said “OMD has again without doubt stolen a
march on its competitors at one of the most prestigious creative competitions in
the industry.”
The competition affords the next generation of industry
leaders the opportunity to prove themselves by creating campaigns during the
Festival week, where more than 400 contestants from around the globe compete in
seven categories, ranging from PR to Media, Cyber, Design, Print, Film,
Marketers and.
According
to de Nardis, OMD’s accolades were awarded for work across a broad spectrum of
client categories – including automotive, CPG, financial services, media,
retail, sports goods and technology – by OMD agencies across the globe.
Apart from
being the most awarded media agency in the Media category, he said OMD also
topped the rankings in Digital Craft, Creative Effectiveness, Cyber,
Integrated, Film, Film Craft and Health & Wellness categories.
