Ogun Monarch, Oba Adeniyi Sonariwo dies at 80

Ogun state’s monarch, Oba Michael Adeniyi Sonariwo, the Akarigbo of Remo Land is dead. According to reports, he died on Saturday in United Kingdom, where he travelled to for medical checkup.

Oba Sonariwo, who was born in Lagos State in 1936, spent 25 years on the throne. He attended St. John School, Aroloya, Lagos from 1941 to 1949.

He also attended Methodist Boys High School from 1950 till 1955. He then went on to become an Accountant.
