Amy Lasch, 52, worked with the Donald on the early seasons of The Apprentice, has revealed what she discovered about Donald Trump's hair. Lasch, who was his former hairdresser before he picked the Republican presidential ticket, has said that his famous golden locks were 100 percent real.

Lasch was shocked when she found that she could barely comb through his mane, which was 'solid and matted' because Trump applied so much gel to it every day.

'He has really long hair and he combs it back straight, he does it himself,' Lasch told the Mirror

'It is real and it is his hair - he doesn't have plugs.'

Lasch quickly realized that the Donald skipped out on professional salons and instead had his family cut and color his hair.

'When I looked at the back of his hair I could tell it was not a hairdresser cutting it,' she said. 'It was scary. It was just cut in a straight line.'

But Lasch had even harsher words for the 70-year-old's dye job, which she called a 'calamity'.

'The color was so inconsistent,' she said. 'It was not done correctly.'

'They just colored the top and did not color what was underneath properly.'

'It was someone in his inner-circle who was cutting and coloring his hair. His wife or maybe his daughter.'

Lasch was not in completely in charge of styling Trump's hair, which he would do himself before arriving on set.

Instead the stylist would take out her comb and point to what she would want to fix, and Trump would do it himself.

'I did comb the back and did the sides a bit, but everything was solid,' she said.

'It was matted to stay put. I tapped it with my comb and it would bounce back.'

Lasch said she finds it troubling that Trump hasn't changed his hairstyle since the 1980s.

'What I don't like about that is he is afraid of change,' she said.

But the Republican presidential candidate has recently revealed that he plans to change his famous hairdo if he is elected commander-in-chief.
