Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on Wednesday, declared the 3rd Quadrennial Delegates Conference of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria opened in Abeokuta. Speaking at the Conference, the Ogun State Governor urged the organized labour to partner with government towards ensuring improved productivity.

Considering the tough economic situation in which the country has found itself, the Ogun State Governor said it was imperative that civil servants as critical stakeholders, cooperate with government especially for the purpose of ensuring improved revenue generation.

The governor also seized the opportunity to appreciate civil servants in Ogun State for being partners in progress.

"I must specially appreciate civil servants in Ogun State. Without your cooperation and support, we could not have achieved the progress so far recorded in our dear state," Governor Amosun said.

Mrs. Adekunle who was a labour leader before Governor Amosun appointed her as Head Of Service, added that it was not for nothing that the Trade Union Congress, TUC, recently honoured the governor with an award.

Speaking in the same vein, National President, Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria,
Comrade Bobboi Kaigama, described the Ogun State Governor as "a comrade governor." He commended Governor Amosun for the giant strides he has so far recorded in Ogun State.
