Photos from Akin Olaniyan’s Mother, Alice Olaniyan (Mama Ogbomoso’s) Burial in Oyo

On June 10, 2016, Mr. Akin Olaniyan of Corporate Communications Department, Zenith Bank Plc., and his family led their mother, Madam Alice Olanike Asabi Olaniyan, popularly called, Mama Ogbomoso to rest at Okelerin, Ogbomoso, Oyo State. Her funeral service held at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Okelerin, Ogbomoso, Oyo State. Lived in Ghana with her late husband, Pa Jacob Oyebode for 26 years, she was the first to make and sell ‘Kenkey’ (a dish she learnt how to make in Ghana) in Oyo to support her family on their return from Ghana. After years of hard works and doggedness to give her children proper education, enjoy the fruit of their labour and her old age, Mama Ogbomoso died on March 8, 2016 at age 100.
