A man in Texas has been charged with manslaughter after he left his six-month-old daughter in a hot minivan for four hours.

The baby was discovered unresponsive in the vehicle outside the family residence, Fox 4 reported. The infant has died and her father, 33-year-old Michael Thedford, has been charged with manslaughter.

Two children had been dropped off at childcare by Thedford and he left the infant in the vehicle, a source told CBS DFW, which reported the infant may have been in the car for as long as four hours.
Thedford is married with two other children, neighbors revealed to the station.
