Nigerian filmmakers were not left out at the 12th edition of African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) held in Port Harcourt on Saturday night. Stephanie Okereke-Linus' Dry won the highly coveted Rivers State Government Endowed Award For Best Nigerian Film. Award for Best Young/ Promising Actor went to 'Zubaidat Ibrahim Fagge for his role in Dry.


Richard Mofe-Damijo received a Lifetime Achievement Award, which hd dedicated to all the youths of Niger Delta. Veteran thespians,  Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva also were presented with Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Actor, Daniel K. Daniel has proven beyond doubt to be the Best Actor in Africa, as he emerged the Best Actor in a Leading Role with his role in 'Soldiers Story'.
