Boxing champ, who hails from Philippines, Manny Pacquiao and his family are said to be on the hit list of the Muslim extremist group that beheaded a Canadian hostage, according to the president of the Philippines.

Prez Benigno Aquino III revealed the militant group, Abu Sayyaf made plans to assassinate him and "they allegedly even hatched plots to kidnap Manny Pacquiao or one of his children."

Aquino discussed efforts Wednesday to shut down the militants who killed one hostage on Monday, and are still holding about 20 other foreign hostages, TMZ reports.

The president suggested the terrorists might have intended to use Manny, and even the president's own sister as bargaining chips to get their own cohorts released from prisons.
