Kano state government has extended the mandate of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the fire incident at Singer Market and other markets in Kano city by two weeks, to enable it cover the recent fire outbreak at Sabon Gari market.



Announcing the extension during a meeting with chairman and members of the commission on Sunday, Governor Ganduje said extension became essential in view of the extent of damage done by the inferno.

Lamenting that the Sabon Gari fire outbreak is the worst that has ever happened in the state, Governor Ganduje assured that his administration is determined to come up with solutions against recurrence of such incidents.

The governor, therefore, charged the commission to do a thorough job, appealing to people in the state to cooperate towards achieving the set objectives. He also urged them to continue seeking refugee from God against such calamities.
